Professional Development for Teachers
Goals:
The school actively promotes professional development for teachers. In addition to encouraging teachers to participate in various professional development activities, the school holds three teacher development days each academic year to improve teaching effectiveness and establish professional learning communities.

August 22-24, 2022 | National Security Teacher Workshop | Invite the Education Bureau to the school to introduce national security and its significance, understand the national security education curriculum framework, and learn how to promote national education in the curriculum. |
August 30, 2022 | General Studies/ STEM Electronic Workshop | Invite publishers to the school to teach the use of general knowledge/STEM electronic books and electronic learning platforms. |
September 6, 2022 | A-plus Learning Platform Electronic Workshop | Teach Chinese, English, and Maths teachers how to use the A-plus learning platform. |
September 20, 2022 | Chinese Language Electronic Learning Workshop | Invite publishers to the school to teach teachers how to use Chinese electronic books and electronic learning platforms. |
September 30, 2022 | First Teacher Development Day | Two workshops will be held, including "Training Students' Reading Skills Workshop" and "How to Design Rich Collaborative Learning Workshops" to enhance teachers' training of students' reading skills and optimize teaching and learning strategies. |
October 2022 | Mathematics Electronic Teaching Workshop | Teachers will watch videos in a self-learning format to learn about the use of electronic books and the WLTS self-learning platform. |
October 7, 2022 | Popcorn Machine Workshop | Teach English teachers how to use the popcorn machine to complement the activities of English Learning Week. |
October 14, 2022 | Designing Layered Workshops | Invite school psychologists to explain how to effectively design layered worksheets to accommodate students' individual differences. |
November 11, 2022 | Positive Education Applied to Classroom Teaching/Classroom Management Workshop | Invite speakers from City University of Hong Kong to introduce the importance of positive education to teachers and briefly introduce how to integrate positive education into the classroom. |
November 18, 2022 | First Professional Development Exchange Observation Class - Mathematics Demonstration Class | Arrange high-quality classroom demonstrations by our school teachers, allowing teachers to learn from each other and observe how different teaching strategies can be effectively applied in the classroom. |
February 3-4, 2023 | Second Teacher Development Day | Through a two-day, one-night camping trip, three group cooperation activities will be held, including "Take FUN", "Barbecue Cooking Competition" and "High Wall" positive and team-building activities, providing opportunities for teachers to cooperate with each other and complete tasks together, to build trust and team spirit among colleagues. |
