Goal
Listening: To create a contextual teaching environment that fosters listening skills, comprehension of spoken content, and encourages students to think from multiple perspectives.
Speaking: To utilize collaborative learning to promote student interaction, cultivate speaking abilities, and construct good communication with others.
Reading: To cultivate the ability to read aloud and self-learn, enhance knowledge of Mandarin language and Chinese culture.
Spelling: To cultivate the ability to use Chinese Pinyin to aid in listening and speaking learning, and to improve learning efficiency.

Throughout the year | Morning Assembly Sharing | The Mandarin language subject will utilize collaborative learning to promote student interaction and to strengthen their oral communication skills. During morning assemblies, students from each class will use Mandarin to deliver speeches or interpret stories to cultivate their confidence. |
Throughout the year: | "Little Mandarin Teachers" Challenge | This program aims to cultivate students' leadership skills and assist teachers in improving students' Mandarin reading and speaking abilities. Mandarin teachers will select students with better Mandarin language abilities and leadership potential to serve as "Little Mandarin Teachers" and "Mandarin Subject Leaders". Through student-to-student interactions, weaker students can receive guidance and assistance, while stronger students can review and consolidate their knowledge. |
November 2022 | Subject Week Activities | Through interesting school-wide Mandarin language activities, students can apply what they have learned in class and increase their interest in learning Mandarin. |
